Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Dominic Marano LLC's psychiatric services different from other psychiatric practices?

Dominic Marano LLC  is committed to providing personalized and compassionate care to  clients. I take the time to listen to clients and work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that meets their unique needs and goals.  I do not discriminate based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, age, or disability.

What types of mental health conditions does Dominic Marano LLC Psychiatric Services treat?

Dominic Marano LLC Psychiatric Services treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more. I have experience with long acting injectables and can prescribe to pharmacies that can dispense and administer.

I live outside of Delaware, can you treat me?

I can only see patients that are geographically located in Delaware and New Jersey.  Telehealth appointments must be conducted within NJ or Delaware state boundaries.  NJ based patients requiring schedule II medications (ex: stimulants like Ritalin/Adderall)  must be seen in person for the initial visit and every 3 months  in-person thereafter (appointments may be through telehealth in-between the 3 month requirements).

What is the cost of treatment at Dominic Marano LLC Psychiatric Services?

The cost of therapy at Dominic Marano LLC Psychiatric Services varies depending on the type of service and insurance coverage. We offer competitive rates and accept Medicare, Blue Cross, Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare . Please contact us for more information about our fees and insurance policies.

Are any services referred out to other providers?

Currently Neurocognitive testing for conditions such as ADHD, dementia,  and other cognitive  disorders is referred out due to limitations of time and complexity of testing.  Options include seeking other local providers such as psychologist/therapist or seeking testing on other online resources.  I will work with you to find appropriate testing and treat once the diagnosis via testing has been confirmed.

Can I pay with cash?

Unfortunately I do not accept cash.  Payments will be handled via Patient Portal and a card is required for payment for fees if not using insurance and any copays/fees.

Where are in-person appointments?

In-person appointments are located at the Brandywine Building,  1000 N West St, Suite 1200 (12th floor), Wilmington, DE 19801.  You will check in with security on the ground floor and take the elevators on the right to the 12th floor.  A receptionist will greet you and direct you to my office for that day.

How can I reach you?

The easiest way it to send a message securely via the Patient Portal.  I also have HIPPA protected e-mail, fax, and phone service however my preferred method is to utilize the HIPPA protect message center in the Patient Portal.

What can I do to prepare for my appointment?

Please fill out the screening forms or any other forms or consents needed prior to the appointment.  I may attach questionnaires or documentation requests via the Patient Portal and will let you know if I do.  If you have access to your previous psychiatric records that would be very helpful and if you can get them sent via e-mail or fax it will help me understand previous treatments.

Do you have a contact number and fax number?

I do! However if I am in an appointment or busy call forwarding will be on and you will be sent to voicemail.  It will be easier and faster for me to check messages through the Patient Portal.  However, if you are unable to access the Patient Portal or need to speak or fax my contact information is below:
